The ISA Marketing & Sales Summit is giving away an iPod Touch! The rules are simple:
- Write a blog post about marketing and sales (see below for some ideas).
- Include a trackback to this page.
- Add a comment to this post including your name, email, and link to your blog post.
The deadline for entry is August 27th.
We have a panel of four judges who will award the iPod Touch to the author who rates the highest according to the following criteria; originality, writing style, content and topic relevancy. Summit presenters and sponsors as well as ISA employees are not eligible.
If you’re looking for ideas, here are some suggestions to get your thinking:
- “A Sales & Marketing Makeover”
- “Top ten list of…” [some marketing and/or sales strategies]
- Takeoff of popular television shows:
- “Marketing with the Stars”
- “CSI Marketing & Sales: How to solve the mystery of a dead…”
- “So You Think You Can Market/Sell”
- “My Marketing/Sales Bucket List”
- “Marketing/Sales Pet Peeves”
- “Nobody Wants to Admit This, But…”
- “An Interview with Marketing/Sales Guru…”
Good luck and happy blogging! By the way, don’t forget to register for the Summit!
Contest prize is sponsored by ProSys and Domesticating IT.

I love contests!! I just wrote up a blog post on Telesian’s blog about my experience with aligning marketing and sales efforts. I was lucky to have a good corporate experience back in the day…
We saw great results when marketing adopted a buy cycle methodology to supporting sales and driving campaigns. But I don’t want to give it all away here…to read more go here: http://blog.telesian.com/?p=650
Although I’m also judging and not eligible to win, here’s my contribution
“Search Engine Marketing: I Do Not Think It Means What You Think It Means”
Your entire Internet marketing strategy may be based on a mirage. As the dominance of search engines wanes, what’s going to fill the void? Think “gifts.”

Some interesting Blog posts so far. Here’s my own effort:

I hope you enjoy it.
PS – I couldn’t provide a trackback as I’m a Blogger user and Blogger doesn’t offer TrackBack functionality. I have to use DisQus for inbound trackbacks!
I did provide a link though.
Close enough, Richard. Thanks! That’s a thought-provoking article. I enjoyed it.
Just a short one, but I hope it’s widely applicable: Why just being the best isn’t good enough
Hope you guys have a great time next week. I’ll be in Houston in October you can give me the prize then….
I also couldn’t provide a trackback, but hope you like it
